About us

Distinct and Unique is a small laser-cutting shop in Beamsville, Ontario, in the Niagara region. We design, cut, engrave and pack every order ourselves.

What we make

Four things, made carefully: clear acrylic floating frames in sixteen sizes and four standoff colours; clear PVC living hinges that join acrylic panels without screws or glue; cast acrylic sheet in clear, frosted, colour, mirror and glitter finishes; and clear polycarbonate. Any sheet we stock can also be laser cut to the exact size you enter, with the price shown before you order.

How we work

Every piece is cut in-house on our own equipment, masked on both sides to protect the surface, and checked before it is packed flat. Stock items ship within one to two business days, and the price you see includes shipping.

Why acrylic

Cast acrylic is about ten times stronger than glass at half the weight, stays clear for years and cuts with a clean, polished edge. It is the material behind most of what we sell, and the reason our frames float and our sheets arrive ready to use.
