Product details

  • FRAMELESS FLOATING DESIGN - Two crystal-clear acrylic panels hold your photo, print or document between them, with metal standoffs lifting the frame off the wall. No border, no bulk: the image appears to float, and the frame disappears into any decor.
  • CHOOSE YOUR SIZE, STANDOFF COLOUR AND PACK - Sixteen photo sizes, from small snapshots to large posters, each with a clear margin around the image. Standoffs come in Black, Gold, White or Silver, and every size is available as a single frame or in packs of 2 or 3.
  • TEN TIMES STRONGER THAN GLASS - Each panel is 1/8" (3 mm) cast acrylic, giving a 1/4" (6 mm) double-panel frame that is shatter resistant and UV resistant. Colours stay true and the acrylic stays clear, without the weight or risk of glass.
  • EASY TO HANG, EASY TO CHANGE - Mount vertically or horizontally with the included standoff hardware and screws. To swap the image, unscrew the caps, lift the front panel, and place the new print. No tools beyond a screwdriver.
  • FOR HOMES, OFFICES AND SHOPS - Family photos, diplomas and certificates, artwork, posters, menus and signage all look sharper without a frame around them. Popular for galleries of matching frames, reception walls and retail displays.
  • DISTINCT & UNIQUE - Made by DistinctAndUnique. Click our brand name to see the full range of acrylic displays.

The DistinctAndUnique floating frame is the simplest way to put an image on a wall and let it speak for itself. Two premium cast acrylic panels sandwich your photo or print, and four metal standoffs hold the assembly a short distance from the wall, so the image appears suspended with nothing around it. Pick the photo size, choose standoffs to match your hardware or decor, and decide whether you want one frame or a matching set. Every frame ships with the standoffs, screws and wall anchors needed to hang it, and changing the image later takes a minute. Acrylic is far tougher than glass, so these frames are as much at home in a busy office or restaurant as they are above a sofa.

Frameless by design

Your picture, floating on the wall

Two panels of cast acrylic hold the print between them. Metal standoffs lift the frame off the wall, so nothing surrounds the image but light.

Pick the photo size, choose a standoff finish, and decide between one frame or a matched set.

What makes it a floating frame

  • A family photo held in a clear acrylic floating frame with black standoffs

    Swap photos in a minute

Unscrew the caps, lift the front panel, drop in the new print. The frame stays on the wall.

  • The two acrylic panels of a floating frame shown apart, with a certificate between them

    Two panels, one solid frame

Each panel is 1/8-inch (3 mm) cast acrylic. Together they make a 1/4-inch frame that is shatter resistant and UV resistant.

  • Close-ups of silver, gold, black and white standoff caps on a clear acrylic frame

    Four standoff finishes

Black, gold, white or silver, to match your hardware or your room.

  • A gallery wall of nine floating frames in mixed sizes with gold standoffs

    Hang it either way

Portrait or landscape, one frame or a matched set. Packs of 2 and 3 share the same size and finish.

A size for every print

Sizes are the image area, in inches. The clear margin adds between ¾ inch and 1½ inches on each side, depending on the size. The Full frame column gives the outside dimensions.

Questions, answered

What's in the box?

Two clear acrylic panels, standoffs in the finish you chose, screws and wall anchors, and instructions.

How do I change the photo?

Unscrew the caps, lift the front panel off, swap the print, and screw the caps back on. The bases stay on the wall.

Can I hang it vertically?

Yes. The frame works in portrait or landscape. The standoffs sit in the corners either way.

Will the acrylic yellow or crack?

Cast acrylic is UV resistant and about ten times stronger than glass, so colours stay true and the panels won't shatter.

Do the frames in a pack match?

Yes. Every frame in a 2-pack or 3-pack is the same size and standoff finish.
